K. J. FROST

Author of the brand new Rufus Stone detective series.

K. J. Frost’s Rufus Stone detective series are set in the Second World War, starting just six weeks after the beginning of the conflict, in rural Surrey, where the author grew up. Rich in local colour, characterisation and detail, Frost has used episodes from real crimes in each of the stories, adding to and embellishing the facts to create dark and sinister tales, which are interwoven with a more light-hearted and romantic side to Rufus Stone’s private life, revolving around his mother, his aunts and the woman he meets during his first adventure – Amelie Cooper.

K. J. Frost’s own interest in the crime novels of the 1920s, 30s and 40s, particularly those of Agatha Christie, Ngaio Marsh, Dorothy L. Sayers and Marjorie Allingham provide obvious inspiration for these classic detective stories.
